So I know I'm suppose to be uplifting and cheery; well, if that's what you're looking for its not happening in this post. Also if you're a man I suggest you turn back now because I'm going to address some touchy subjects like that time of the month and chocolate consumption.
The past five weeks have been interesting to say the least one of my best friends were in town so the partying started! I have never partied so much and I know you're thinking where's the complaining she warned us about here it goes...
PMS IS REAL AND I MAY HAVE EATEN MY WAY THROUGH ORLANDO
Yes, it's true and I'm not ashamed to admit it and I also may have plotted my husbands death until he brought my chocolate bar with wild cherry Pepsi. I still worked out and I ate moderately well, but the biggest issue I had while suffering through the ten days of HELL, were the feelings that came along with it. I have never felt more discouraged, emotional or like a ball of lard with no will to leave bed. I don't know why the feelings were so intense but I was so over life. I will elaborate on this post later but I'm reeling from just writing about it! I promise a more organized post tomorrow with more pics but I'm off to bed.
Ta ta for now, xoxo
Dev!

Bringing Sexy Back!
This has been the first week on the Beach Body Challenge with my Coach Kelly Kraiss! Surprisingly enough it wasn't hell. Yeah I whined quite a bit, but nothing about the working out or the food. I was grumpy, emotional, and tired as heck, but only my husband and students had to deal with that side of me. Let's talk about what I've realized this week.
- Somewhere along the journey of eating everything that wasn't nailed down and conquering all the episodes of Law and Order: SVU, I lost my neck and it is the hardest thing to find. How does one lose and find their neck? If you know, let me know!
- I want to be one of those women that wear spandex booty shorts! It is a very exclusive club that only a handful of people should actually be in and I want to be one of the few! Gosh darn it, a new goal to meet :)
Not everything was a revelation or whining though. Power90 has been quite an effective workout program and drinking the shake for breakfast has been one of the easiest transitions I have ever made. I still managed to do my usual Dance Trance workout, albeit I was definitely more sore than usually, but that burn was well deserved! I feel great and even though its only been 7 days, I'm visualizing the Devin I'll see in 83 more days when this challenge is over and she is SMOKING HOT!
My 90 day Challenge ends around the time I'll be seeing Justin Timberlake in concert. I set several little goals to meet but ultimately at the end of the 90 days I hope to be 250 pounds. It may seem like a lot to many of you, but to me, I'll be bringing sexy back. I haven't weighed 250 pounds since my junior of high school, so that would be major for me.
In order to keep my head in the game and my eyes on the prize I often bribe myself with something I want and a few months ago I bought this adorable dress that was so cheap I couldn't leave it in the store. I could barely fit one of my legs in this dress and this is what it looks like now.
That's my plan! To look like a hot mama in this dress at the Justin Timberlake concert on August 16th. I'm glad you're along for the ride. It will be bumpy and we might break down a few times but WE WILL GET THERE!

The Worst Kind of Blogger...
So, according to blogger I haven't submitted anything since August 22, 2012 which would make me the worst blogger of all time. Don't fret! There may not have been any updates but I kept the fight to get fit going. I have lost 42 pounds since starting this journey but you don't want to know how! Of course I'm going to tell you anyway. I began with the Whole30; the hardest thing I've ever attempted, I failed miserably twice. Coincidentally both times ended on the 16th day. Each time helped me escape a weight-loss plateau. I also dabbled with the Atkins plan (My husband's idea) the plan seemed like a great idea. I get to eat meat and cheese?? SIGN ME UP! It was great! Until I checked my blood pressure...yeah never again but it was the thought that counted right? Anyone? No? Fine! And the last failed mission to get to thin, hot mama status was Body by Vi. I actually love this program but I don't think it loved me. So here I am, weighing in at 286, still obese but definitely not as obese as I started last summer.
I've been looking for a program that has the support of having a nutritionist/Weight Watchers while also making me workout. Don't get me wrong, working out at Dance Trance has been the best experience and I'm still hooked. But if I want to get to my goal of 200 lbs before the end of the year, I'm going to have to go hard (Dance Trance song) which led me to The Beach Body Challenge! I start on Monday with some friends of mine and I am stoked. My short term goal is to reach 250! So here goes nothing and I will be keeping up with the blog a little better because I'm going to expect you guys to stroke my ego ;) A little before picture action to keep me going, nothing like a little shame to get you fired up. Well ta-ta kiddos, I'll check back in after my first Power90 work out. (Sorry I went a little link happy)
