Diet, Shmiet!

Monday marked an entire week of eating right! And boy was it hard, but thankfully my job kept me busy and on schedule with eating my packed meals. I am sad to say that the only working out I did last week was lifting and readjusting an older woman. This week has been much harder on the eating right journey. I've already eaten out twice, but I swear I have great reasons for doing so! Well, maybe only one great reason and the other is a crazy, i'm sorry I fall into the stereotype and need fried chicken reason, but I digress! However, I have been working out a lot more, swimming, running/walking on the treadmill, and a new workout game on the Kinect that Pat, my husband bought to help on his workout path. I've decided to get my body in overall good shape before I start really training for the half marathon, I feel like it's the best way to go and no one has disagreed, so I think I'm on the right track!
My current dilemma is now that I'm working out, I have no desire to cook. I want Chipotle to be as healthy for you as Subway supposedly is! But Pat is cracking the whip! I am at this moment angrily typing this and on a hunger protest until he caves and admits that Chipotle isn't that bad and I can totally eat it on my cutting back plan (I refuse to call it a diet). So right now....WAHHHHHH. BTW, I lost 3.8 pounds this week! But gosh darn it, eating right is soo hard. Working out is hard. I apologize for all the whining and I know the end results are going to be so much better than Chipotle will ever taste, but it never feels that way when you're doing it. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there or at least I hope I'm not. Next post I promise a more uplifting and descriptive blog about what I'm actually doing in my workouts and what I'm cooking

TTFN!

Here We Go...again!

I've tried this blogging thing before but it didn't really stick because I'm the worst at being disciplined enough to sit down and write things down. I'm turning over a new leaf and I'm hoping it sticks because on Monday, I'm going to start training for a half-marathon and hopefully beginning the rest of a very healthy life. It may sound like a bunch of malarkey but I'm serious this time! Thanks to Pinterest I have a pretty good idea of where to start and how to. One of the things I read instructed me to start writing a blog for accountability and also just to add more structure to my life. So here it is! I plan on putting up some recipes and some results from my training. I'm pretty sure I'll add some funny stories from my day to day life; I'm married to a pretty hilarious guy :)
I look forward to writing more and I plan on writing at least 3 times a week.

Ta ta for now!

P.S. I'm not the best at writing, but I'm sure it will get better. Just know I'm going to write how I feel and this is not for a grade.
